12 of us ranging in age from 15 months to 66 years spent a weekend here in January 2026. There was plenty of space for us to be together on the main floor and the basement. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and the kitchen was small but well stocked with cookware and table settings. It was a short drive to the ski slopes and the pool. Kara responded to my questions quickly and thoroughly.
The spiral staircase was a little tricky, but I (age 66) was able to navigate it slowly. Everything I needed was on the main floor, but I mananged to get to the loft for a movie and the basement for air hockey. One step at a time!
The windows looked out to a lovely woods, and I'm sure it would be a great place to be in the summer as well!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy chalet near Schuss Mountain for our family ski trip. The location was perfect — less than a 10-minute drive to the slopes, which made getting everyone to and from skiing very easy. The cabin was exactly as described and felt warm and inviting, a great place to relax after a day on the mountain. The host was excellent to work with — very responsive and flexible with check-in, which we truly appreciated after traveling from Indiana and different parts of Michigan. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone planning a ski getaway.

Amazing stay and great location. Kara was a great host and even offered to let us stay an extra night comped with the dangerous winter storm so we could get home safely! Would highly recommend and will be back!

We had an amazing time! The house was beautiful, clean, and not only offered all essentials, but so many extra amenities that we have not seen at other houses we’ve rented in the past. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend it! Thank you Kara!!

Our family enjoyed spending NYE at the chalet! The house was clean, the decor was so nice. We would definitely come back! The snowfall was amazing. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow and sledding down the driveway! Perfect winter getaway!!

The Maple View Lodge was incredible! We had 16 guys up for a golf trip & everyone had space that was their own. The property was easy to find, access & enjoy.
We had dinner at the Lakeview Hotel Bar & Grill which was only about 3 minutes away, still within the Shanty Creek Grounds. That was excellent as well.
Kara was great with responding to any questions & making sure we had all the information needed.
A fantastic weekend at an amazing property!

Really stunning home, tucked away in a beautiful resort town. Kara’s home was everything it was hyped up to be and our group had an amazing time staying there. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay and the local amenities we had access to! The house was clean, and kitchen was equipped for a family weekend getaway. The private beach club and resort pools were lots of fun! Kara was easy to get a hold of and super responsive.
